About Dr. Gilani

Dr. Sam Gilani is a specialist periodontist with a Master's in Oral Biology from UCLA, where he held a teaching position on the periodontics faculty for 25 years. His practice combines academic rigor with more than 25 years of complex implant and reconstructive surgery.
Having served on the teaching staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 25 years, he brings a rare combination of university teaching and hospital-grade surgical experience.
Across his career, Dr. Gilani has placed more than 26,000 dental implants, led multidisciplinary treatment planning for complex oral-cavity disease, and lectured nationally and internationally on advanced implantology and periodontal reconstruction.
His clinical focus centers on saving natural teeth whenever possible, rebuilding lost bone and soft tissue, and restoring both function and aesthetics through minimally invasive periodontal microsurgery and advanced implant techniques.
